What I Offer
Care That Looks at the Whole Picture
Many of the counselling areas listed below are interconnected and may overlap with other health conditions. If you’re navigating one or more of these concerns—or something not listed—we can work together to create a personalized, integrated plan that supports your overall health.
For those using medications such as GLP-1–based treatments, I can help you maintain adequate nutritional intake despite a reduced appetite to maintain muscle mass during weight loss and support overall health.

About Me
My name is Laurel Zvaigzne
-
I am a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Bariatric Educator, and have completed certification in Advanced Obesity Counselling.
-
For 11 years, I worked in endocrinology clinics specializing in care for individuals living with Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, overweight, and obesity. During that time, I witnessed firsthand the stress and confusion that can arise when trying to implement nutrition recommendations for chronic disease—especially when managing more than one condition at the same time.
-
Nutrition guidance can quickly feel overwhelming. My goal is to bring clarity, simplify what feels complicated, and help you find a sustainable path forward—at a pace that feels right for you.
-
I understand how full life can be. Between work, family, responsibilities, and health, it can feel impossible to meet every expectation placed on us. I truly believe that small, consistent changes can have a powerful impact over time, and I’m passionate about helping people see and experience that for themselves.
-
In 2025, I transitioned into private practice to create more space for creativity in my work and to support my two young, active boys. This shift has allowed me to build a practice that reflects both my professional values and my personal priorities.
-
I am registered in both Alberta and British Columbia and am excited to support individuals across both provinces.
